Metropolitan Style

Clear forms that effectively follow the given functions. Freedom to fulfil one’s ideas. Spacious and distinctly individual room. Metropolitan is about purism, a study in the fine art of minimalism. It is modern without succumbing to passing fads. And it showcases the room as a uniquely aesthetic living space.

This is what Villeroi & Bock suggest for the Tableware

Interior Design Accessories

September 26, 2008 at 9:19 am (Introduction) (, , )

I’ve moved to Milan a couple of weeks ago…I was equipping my new house with lot of silly stuff I’ve stolen to my sister, Erica. She works in the field of Living-ware: all the accessories people use in their everyday life in their own home. From the tableware to clocks, bathroom and kitchen accessories.

I’ve discovered a new passion for ornaments and tabletops, furnishing an house that should reflect my own style with beautiful pieces of “home” design. For this reason I’ve decided to talk about living-ware and show environment restyled by designers such as Carlo Alessi, Ron Arad and Hiroshi Ono using creativity and innovation!

In particolar I will focus on Alessi, one of the “Fabbriche del design italiano”, and maybe the most important, wellknown and innovative. Alessi is one of those companies which embodies a typical phenomenon of Italian industrial culture.
