Working from a desire to introduce the public at large to the quality and exclusivity of the finest contemporary design, they have created a line of “democratic” and accessible products for every home.
This innovative grater is part of the Family Follows Fiction (F.F.F.) range, hilariously funny and fantasy-inspired products ideal for enlivening any family home.
The metaproject F.F.F. begun in 1991, grew out of a desire to explore the emotional structure of objects, focused in the most delicate, intimate, sensory human needs.
The objects became ludic tools, telling little tales, giving captivating twists to everyday uses, suggesting a mediation with playfulness and becoming a bridge to the fantastical.
At the outset the idea was to reproduce the process of creation and animation of the object common to the world of childhood and to primitive cultures.

Since 2004, the year of “Anna G.” and “Alessandro M.”, we have all been waiting for a new element of surprise on the corkscrew front. “Parrot”, the practical, pocket-sized sommelier corkscrew, has been designed to meet these expectations.

With the porcelain and glassware presentation, Doriana and Massimilinao Fuksas have completed the “Colombina Collection”, a table set that not only stands out for its aesthetic quality but offers a refined and ambitious innovation for current dinning services.
The Colombina collection is a lovely design, characterized by a sculptural approach: elegant, new, and pleasing plates, containers and cups made from different materials and different colours. It is a complete set, open to the evolution of being on the table at the same time with its gaming component, its attitude to change and change in the composition of the items on the table.
One thing contains another, or they can easily be placed side by side like a welcoming pile of petals that can be leafed through one by one according to the guests’ preferences and, naturally, the dinner options.

The “Bettina” table service, designed by Jan Kaplicky of Future Systems, a group of architects who has already worked with Alessi in 2003 on “Tea & Coffee Towers”, is certainly Alessi’s most innovative design in this area. It took a long time to complete ( over 4 years), many sketches, designs and prototypes to achieve the elegant and simple result.
Beauty, flexibility, practicality are the keywords.
The Table set
The set includes plates, platters, bowls and cups (coffee, tea and mugs) and the cutlery set. The items are multifuctional: for example the saucer can be used for both the mocha cup and the tea cup, or can be used as a plate for a dessert or a side dish.
the production material is thick porcelain.
The Glassware
One of the most peculiar and curious characteristics is the glassware which consists of two separate parts, the cup in crystal clear glass and the base. The design makes them appear to be a single element, but reality is very different!!
